Amateur Here: Difficult to Figure Out Yourself
I was just looking for something fun and I am always interested in medical stuff. I thought that the program would be a little more user-friendly than it is. Certainly since this is the initial launch of this app (been at store 6 days now), the future of the Graphical User Interface will certainly improve. I had a hard time figuring out how to navigate the skeleton. I finally figured out how to rotate horizontally, and it took a few more minutes to learn how to spin the skeleton vertically. In other words, read the instructions thoroghly (maybe a few times) and you will have a much better experience. When you click and drag on the skeleton model, do it slowly and have patience as it seems to lag a bit. Now I would like to learn some of this medical stuff but geez, look at how technical and how many of the names that are listed on the sample screen shots above. Too technical, I wish there were a "stupid person" version, perhaps a kids version, something I could more easily learn something. The window space itself is stubborn and wont resize unless I full-screen the app, but then it wont actually full-screen, it stays vertical, at least for me at this time. I did just purchase it and spent about 15 minutes on it and am now writing this review. I was hoping for something a little more fun. This is definately for a professional, a doctor or other medical professional. I really wish I knew more and then I could actually make an attempt at playing one of the quizzes that they offer. I also dont like the first tab on the bottom "3D Apps" is just an advertisement for some of their other programs that this company makes. I dont like that at all, especially since I paid $10 for this app. Their ads should be buried under the Settings near the help and/or the "About" the program. I do have a 27" iMac so my resolution is 2560x1440 along with another 2 more monitors attached, so I hope that doesnt hinder the performance of the functionality of this app, I especially wish I could actually go full-screen so the entire screen (that the app is placed on) would go full of skeleton and black background. They also need to pull 3 windows together in to one window. I hate it when they have multiple windows, each having different types of tools or something in each one, so you have to be so careful moving them around, it is such a pain.
Overall, this is good for you if you are training to be a doctor. I actually thought I was buying an App for my iPad, so I didnt even get what I wanted at all. My stupidity for that mistake (Ive done it before, Ill do it again).
